The first lure in the line up is the STIFFY FIZZER. This lure was developed for jumbo sized tough fish. I was dissatisfied with the hook-up rates on the best ones out there so I came up with a slim profile lure that uses an assymetrical fizzer blade to make a fuss.

This blade lets the fish get his gob around the lure without obstruction and definitely makes for reliable solid hook ups as well as longer casts. I wanted a lure that would work slow or fast, sit low in the water and hook up well. We used owner heavy duty hooks and rings on the lure because they are the best available and they offer the best chance of landing a jumbo cod, barra or gamefish.

So far the fizzer has done the job and we caught some ripper fish and had some great fishing sessions on the wooden prototypes. Ian Miller still likes to rub it into me that he caught the first big barra from Awoonga to take one of these lures and Chris Wright still shakes as he recalls the ‘elephant' that fell on his fizzer at the same location. We also had some mind blowing sessions that left us and our tackle totally wrecked!

The production models have been out there for a while now and they have accounted for plenty of cod, barra, kingies and other gamefish.
